Buffalo Wing Battle

The Saint Street Inn held another local chef throw-down at the end of last month. SSI's very own Chef Andre "Buffalo" Tremble took on Kyle Cannella of Jolie's Louisiana Bistro, in a buffalo wing challenge.

Hungry judges (the public) waited patiently in the restaurant's dining room, while Tremble and Cannella plunged order after order into the deep fryers back in the kitchen. Tremble stepped up his game layering more seasonings than ever before into his wing sauce. Cannella's "wings" were actually a surprising combination of pork wrapped in chicken skins and fried to maximum crispiness.

Tremble with his more traditional wings was crowned champion, but both contestants were rewarded with bottles of their favorite booze. Tremble opened his new bottle of Grey Goose and a round of chilled shots was poured for everyone still hanging out.

Keep an eye on the SSI's Facebook and website for info on the next cook-off.
